Professional ECU Remapping. Built the Way Tuners Actually Work.
Remapping an ECU properly isn’t just about changing numbers in a table — it’s about understanding what those numbers mean, how they interact, and how to move them in a direction that produces real, measurable results. Race EVO was built around that understanding.
Developed by Dimsport, Race EVO is a professional-grade ECU recalibration software platform designed to give tuners direct access to the engine working parameters stored inside the ECU — and the tools to modify them with precision, confidence, and full control over the output file.
The software’s internal architecture organises all ECU data into a structured, functional database, making it straightforward to navigate even complex ECU file structures. Access is protected by a USB logic key (dongle), ensuring that calibration files and tuning projects remain secure against unauthorised use.
Race EVO Standard — Guided Precision Tuning
Race EVO Standard operates through setting files — purpose-built driver files developed by Dimsport’s own technical team for specific ECU applications. Each setting file filters the full ECU content and surfaces only the maps that directly influence power output, torque delivery, and engine performance customisation — removing the noise and focusing the tuner’s attention exactly where it matters.
Maps can be viewed and edited in three formats:
- Numeric table — direct value editing with both numerical and percentage-based modification inputs
- 2D chart — curve-based visualisation with drag-and-drop adjustment for precise calibration work
- 3D chart — full surface visualisation with colour-coded differentiation to support rapid map analysis and calibration review
An interpolation function is available within the numeric tables for smoothing value transitions across map axes. At the conclusion of every tuning session, Race EVO Standard automatically recalculates the ECU checksum — ensuring the modified file remains fully compatible with the target vehicle’s control unit without requiring a separate verification step.
Race EVO Plus-Full — Complete Freedom for Advanced Tuners
For tuners who need to go beyond guided setting file workflows, the Plus-Full upgrade removes the boundaries entirely.
With Plus-Full active, the tuner can work directly on the complete ECU file content — building fully custom tuning projects from scratch rather than working within the parameters a setting file defines. Alternatively, setting files can still be used as a starting point, with the option to add extra maps beyond the standard parameter list for a more complete and tailored engine management calibration.
The expanded feature set includes:
- User map labelling — assign custom names to maps for easier navigation and project organisation
- Data conversion — apply any stored conversion formula to map data, or add new custom formulas to the library
- Full file editing modes — work across the entire ECU file in decimal, hexadecimal, or graphic mode, in both 2D and 3D
- File comparison — cross-reference sections of different ECU files side by side to identify differences or validate changes
- Parameter search — locate specific functional values within a file quickly, without manual browsing
- Map alignment and data scrolling — structural tools for working efficiently across large or complex ECU maps
- Copy/paste functionality — speed up repetitive calibration tasks across multiple maps or projects
- File resizing — modify file dimensions where required for compatibility or custom project purposes
Network Management Extensions
Race Manager Upgrade — Organise Your Dealer Network Race Manager extends the core Race EVO platform into a master/slave dealer management system. The master tuner retains full control over what slave dealers — equipped with New Genius and New Trasdata tools — can read and write. Slave dealers exchange files exclusively with their assigned manager and cannot share files laterally with other tuners. A built-in database classifies and archives every file sent to and received from each dealer in the network.
DSManager — Bridge to Third-Party Tuning Platforms DSManager is purpose-built for tuners who develop calibration files on other software platforms but need Dimsport’s file management infrastructure. It handles decryption, encryption, and resizing of files read through New Genius — making them compatible with external tuning tools — without providing any direct map editing capability. A dedicated automatic checksum recalculation tool is included. DSManager effectively delivers slave network management without locking the tuner into Race EVO as their primary editing environment.
